Chipping out of the rough

Often we make this shot much more difficult than it needs to be. We try to help it out or swing extra hard or scoop it.

There are few main keys to hitting chip shots out of the rough.

1. Examine your lie – they are not all bad
2. A sand wedge is usually the best choice unless you have room for the ball to run a long way
3. Play it like a normal chip and just lean left.
4. Don’t get fancy.
