A Crash Course in Golf

This "Crash Course" in golf gives you an overview of the game. Learn some basic mechanics, what to do when you go to the club, how to drive a cart and the anatomy of a golf hole. This course takes the intimidation out of getting started with golf.

LESSON 1

Grip, Posture and Swing Basics

In Lesson 1, we’ll cover grip, posture and swing basics! Keep in mind, you can do this practice in the privacy of your own home.  Let’s dig in!

LESSON 2

Let’s Go To the Golf Course!

Ride along with me as we arrive at the golf course, walk through the locker room and learn to operate a golf cart!  Your friends and colleagues will never believe you’re a beginner!

Lesson 3

Anatomy of a Golf Hole

Golf courses have their own “vocabulary.” Kathy walks you through the “anatomy of a golf hole,” demonstrating the correct names for the different areas of the course and introduces you to some common, basic etiquette. Knowing this etiquette will help you stand out as a “natural” to the game!

***NOTE: As of 2019, the Rules of Golf changed. Players now have the option to leave the flagstick in the hole while putting. In this video I teach taking the flagstick out which has been the rule for years. I consider it worth knowing the traditional rule as many players learn how to adjust and experiment with the new option of leaving the flagstick in the cup.
